Grove is a company out of Portland, Oregon who is challenging the status quo on how products are designed and made. All I can say is WOW!
I didn’t realize how cool an iPhone case could be made out of wood. I mean, it’s wood! But hey, this company opened my eyes to the idea in a big way. Plus using bamboo is the greenest method for a renewable source of material. Huge win right there for Grove.
The Plain Series comes in natural or amber bamboo and stainless steel or black aluminum for the bezel. From looking at the pictures, the fit and finish on this case is superb and the craftsmanship is outstanding.
The Artist Series comes in about 20 different designs, each one with a unique etching on the back of the case. Again, very neat idea. You can’t do this kind of thing on a polycarbonate case.
Lastly, they have an area on the Web site that allows you to customize your iPhone case with your own artwork. I’m guessing you would send them graphic files and they would somehow stencil that onto the case.
If you’re looking for an alternative to the regular iPhone cases out there, I would highly recommend you check out Grove.
